Road Rage - Dangerous Retaliation or Attempted Retaliation

Alleged Details: A man in the lane left of me attempted to run me off the road with his vehicle because I offended him by using my cell phone. I was waiting for opposing traffic to clear so that I could turn when he stuck his head out of his window and yelled profanities, thinking that it would encourage me to move. I could not go because opposing traffic had not cleared. I was not going to play chicken with opposing traffic. When I was able to turn, he sped up in the lane to the left of me and then swerved five to six feet into my lane, attempting to hit my vehicle. At the stop light, he rolled down his window and said to me, "Why don't you get off your fucking phone and drive?" I proceeded to tell him that he was screwed because my husband is a cop. (He really is and I do know that he cannot really do much.) I made sure to stay far enough behind him that I would be out of bullet range, because he was reaching over to the passenger seat area toward the floorboard of his car. I was fearful for my life as I perceived that he was searching for a gun! I stayed in my lane (to the right of him), and at the next stop light stopped far behind him. I was beside myself as he actually used his truck as a weapon and left me in acute fear for my life.

This alleged offense occured on Frontage Road to Westbound I-40 at University SE while travelling in the West direction, on Tuesday 24 May 05 at 05:01 PM
